Sustainability
Designing closures that help brands meet EU sustainability targets without compromising performance.
Our approach
Sustainability in beverage closures means reducing material, enabling recycling, and supporting collection infrastructure. We address all three through product design, manufacturing efficiency, and transparent reporting.
Key initiatives
- Tethered cap platforms compliant with SUP Directive 2019/904
- Mono-material designs for simplified recycling streams
- Weight reduction through advanced tooling engineering
- Documented recyclability assessments per APME guidelines
- Scope 1 & 2 carbon footprint reporting
Sustainability roadmap
-
2024: SUP Directive readiness
Full tethered cap portfolio available for all major neck finishes. Technical support for brand transition planning.
-
2025: Mono-material expansion
Launch of next-generation mono-material closures for carbonated beverages, targeting ≥ 95% recyclability in all major EU streams.
-
2026: Bio-based pilot
Pilot production of closures using mass-balanced bio-based PP, with chain-of-custody certification.
-
2028: Net-zero manufacturing
Target for Scope 1 & 2 carbon neutrality across all production facilities.
